
Leadership Capstone Project Presentations
CLASS OF 2022
The Leadership APTA Class of 2022 is pleased to share their capstone projects with APTA members and the transit industry. Class members identified and worked on seven project topics as part of their program, including interviews with dozens of industry leaders and experts from within and outside the transit industry. Each team produced an executive summary paper, related slides, and a video of their executive presentation. Project teams also shared highlights of their projects during the 2022 APTA TRANSform Conference in Seattle.

Our goal is to recruit, train and retain the transit industry’s most essential workforce i.e., frontline employees including transit operators by utilizing an equity-focused approach.

This study examines major decision points and blind spots for CEO’s and transit systems new to zero emission fleets. This study will summarize unexpected problems and common pain points for CEO’s as they embark on a new ZEB implementation.

To improve transit service, attract discretionary trips, and illustrate our value to policy makers and taxpayers, the industry must refocus and reinvigorate our collective commitment to customer service. Our goal is to catalog best practices and drive industry improvements to enhance customer service culture by examining best of breed transit and non-transit entities.
