Public transportation will build-back service hand-in-hand with the priorities of cities and regions.  Transit-friendly trends underway prior to the pandemic, such as dedicated bus lanes, slow streets, and repurposed street space, have accelerated in many places.  How can such enhancements be extended through community partnerships?  How might that extend to grand visions of parks, boulevards and vibrant public places with transit playing a key role?  This discussion will cover these and other topics while highlighting new policies and practices to govern priority uses for streets, sidewalks and the curb.

Moderator: MJ Maynard; CEO, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada

  • Corinne Kisner, Executive Director, National Association of City Transportation Officials
