General Session: Implementing AI for Public Transportation and Mobility Solutions

As the Biden-Harris Administration, Congressional leaders, and policy experts work on a comprehensive legislative framework for Artificial Intelligence (AI), public transportation agencies are using this technology to reshape traditional transit models, optimize operations, and enhance the overall passenger experience. As AI technology continues to mature, public transportation industry stakeholders need to play an active role in the development of any Federal guidelines and policies surrounding use and deployment. This panel will explore how policy makers are developing and implementing a regulatory framework to address concerns about data privacy, ethical dilemmas, and misuse of AI technology.
