General Session: Technology: An Opportunity and a Challenge for the Rail Industry and the 2022 Rail Safety & Security Awards

Recorded On: 06/07/2022

Join this exciting Opening Session to kick off Technology Tuesday. We’ll honor recipients of the 2022 Rail Safety and Security Award that recognizes rail systems in North America for their excellence in safety and security. Winning systems were chosen based on the innovation, effectiveness, benefits and transferability of their program or project.

Our keynote features Mark Wild, CEO of Crossrail Ltd, Transport for London, sharing the systems and integration lessons learned from delivering the largest expansion of London’s rail network in decades, the new Elizabeth line. After the keynote address, Mark will be joined by top transit executives in North America to discuss the delivery challenges faced as they prepare to undertake historic levels of infrastructure investment. They will explore what traditional industry practices must evolve to harness technology benefits and where adopting a systems approach allows us to achieve our intended outcomes
