Marin Transit and the Transportation Authority of Marin (California) recently launched Connect2Transit, a user-friendly, first-of-its-kind platform combining multiple on-demand services and real-time transit information. Connect2Transit leverages routing software to optimize shuttle routes, with booking available on the Uber app (along with real-time information for traditional fixed-route transit services). It is expected that the Connect2Transit platform will reduce operational cost, provide a simplified passenger experience, and serve as a powerful platform to coordinate service expansions after the pandemic recedes.
