No Time to Lose: Successful Intercity Passenger Rail Expansion on Shared Infrastructure

America has the greatest freight rail network in the world. What about passenger rail? We can do both and do it better than we have before. We can continue to have a strong freight rail system while providing the passenger rail service necessary to meet the urgent challenge of climate change and meet the needs of people, communities, and shippers. And we don’t have time to wait decades to make it happen. Let’s talk about the way states, freight railroads, and Amtrak can work together to deliver the future we need.
