Reimagining Transit Public Safety and Security

Recorded On: 11/10/2021

Transit CEOs are thinking critically about transit public safety and security. Working with their Boards of Directors, employees, and the community, agencies have begun reshaping what transit public safety and security looks like. These reimagined initiatives move away from enforcement when it can be averted and employ transit ambassadors, mental health clinicians, crisis interventionists, and advocates for the unsheltered to ensure that transit systems serve their communities in an equitable way.
