How do we plan for the uncertainty of a post-COVID world and understand the interplay between travel patterns and specific industries?

The response to the pandemic led to the formation of many successful partnership between transit agencies and healthcare providers. The time is ripe to encourage more of these types of partnerships to meet our customers’ immediate needs and foster them for the long-term benefit of the communities we serve.

This project will provide a set of guiding principles for consideration to leverage existing assets to attract customers and rebrand transit as a more resilient system and an attractive mode of transportation for everyone.

Developed an understanding of social equity strategies, policies, best practices to help CEOs and Boards evaluate and improve transportation equity for their disabled communities. Gathered information through online research and interviews with agencies.

This project will explore the critical use of data and information in successful implementation of transformative bus priority projects both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, from project scoping and development through performance monitoring and measuring results “on the ground.”
