  • Zero Emission Bus Planning and Deployment: Session 2

    Includes Credits Recorded On: 03/31/2021

This APTAU CEU Academy two-part series provides training on zero emission bus (ZEB) deployments. This second session focuses on ZEB and infrastructure procurement and deployment, including topics such as developing technical specifications, infrastructure installation, and performance monitoring. Registration fees: Member - $49 / Non-members $99

  • Zero Emission Bus Planning and Deployment: Session 1

    Includes Credits Recorded On: 03/24/2021

This APTAU CEU Academy two-part series provides training on zero emission bus (ZEB) deployments. This first session focuses on the planning stage with an overview of ZEB technology; review of the critical differences between planning for ZEBs and conventionally fueled buses; and how to determine the right bus and infrastructure technology for your specific needs. Registration fees: Members $49 / Non-members $99

  • Transit and Climate: An Equitable Strategy

    Includes Credits Recorded On: 01/12/2021

This workshop will explore what happens when an agency introduces a new type of service (BRT) and a new technology (electric buses) at the same time. The presenters will discuss challenges and lessons learned within the past year at IndyGo and Metro Transit (Minneapolis), with a focus on implications for operations planning.

  • Microtransit

    Includes Credits Recorded On: 12/15/2020

Equity. Safety. Sustainability. These are King County Metro’s core values. Learn how these values were incorporated into the development and iteration of their first/last mile pilots, and how they are used as the yardstick by which the pilots are evaluated. This presentation will discuss the tactics used to achieve equity, safety, and sustainability, as well as the challenges, tradeoffs, costs, and benefits of leading with these values.

  • Electric Buses and the Sustainable Transit Ecosystem

    Includes Credits Recorded On: 11/17/2020

This APTAU CEU Academy workshop explores the role of electric buses in achieving a sustainable transit ecosystem. California’s ambitious Climate Plan sets a goal of transitioning to 100% electric transit by 2040. Several cities like Los Angeles, have established an even nearer-term deadline. This panel will discuss how getting to zero carbon will depend not only on zero-emission buses--but a holistic approach that considers seamless charging infrastructure, innovations in network connectivity, green design, and adaptable transit planning.
